Where there is challenge, there is often opportunity. We recognize that this can be a difficult time for many of us. For some life has slowed down, for others the pace has sped up. Whatever your situation, take care of yourself and consider taking some time to work remotely on your skills training.

- UCalgary Continuing Education (non-credit): We've secured limited seats in a few UCalgary Continuing Education classes for thesis-based graduate students to gain new competencies for free! Learn more.
- Western Deans Agreement (for-credit): graduate students can take online courses offered through other universities participating in the Western Dean's Agreement and may have their tuition waived for those courses. Learn about upcoming courses offered by Royal Roads University and the University of Winnipeg. Offerings from other institutions will be shared as they become available. Apply here.
The Calgary Library provides many self paced and real-time workshops:
- Self-paced courses: Learn something new or expand your existing skill set with expert-led video instruction. Access all of the videos on Lynda.com for free when you sign in with your Library card. See courses
- Real time courses: Choose from over 300 on-line, instructor-led courses including computer programs, accounting, business, and more. You can take two six-week courses per calendar year with your Library card. See courses
