We know that your experience here will undoubtedly inspire your future ambitions and hope that you are able to make a lasting impression on others through contributions to knowledge, teaching and community.

The University of Calgary is widely regarded as Canada’s entrepreneurial university. As a graduate student, you are joining a dedicated community of more than 8,000 graduate students dispersed across over 80 programs within the university. Through the University of Calgary’s “Ahead of Tomorrow” goal of becoming a magnet for graduate students by attracting local, national and international superstars, we aim to keep the momentum of engaging graduate students going with our growth strategy to reach 15,000 graduate students through increasing enrollment and credentials by 2030.

The mission at FGS is focused on fostering excellence, creativity and innovation in graduate education and research. Our holistic approach to the graduate student experience offers student-centred experiences in an academically nurturing environment that supports both research and career ambitions of our graduates and inspires them to start something.
